If you’ve not seen the buzz online, the WDW company recently implemented a sudden policy change at its resorts, stating it would no longer receive bakery items on behalf of guests. Two days later, it followed up by issuing legal demands to small businesses, banning them from operating on WDW parks, resorts, Disney Springs, and any property owned by WDW or its subsidiaries.

How is this affecting Olivia’s Kitchen?
Currently, this affects about 70% of our business, and we have about a month and a half of already paid orders on the books through the start of April.
We are making a mad dash to build solutions and systems for existing orders, including nearby meet-ups, shipping conversions, or reimbursements.
We are sending emails to affected customers by delivery week, so you should receive one soon, if you haven’t already.
These processes are being refined in real time as we determine what works best during this sudden and unexpected transition, and we ask for your patience as we get it right.

How will this affect you?
We are working on new products and shipping options to serve both our local patrons and our travel agency clients, and we are excited to share them with you.
We are doing everything we can to accommodate existing orders without incurring trespassing violations or further legal action from WDW.
We are organizing meet-ups and converting orders to shipping whenever possible.

We are working as fast as we can to handle communications and process these order changes as well as working out the new menu options for shipping and local delivery orders.

At this time, we will be closing our kitchen down January 12th - 31st 2026, to complete a kitchen renovation that will allow our business to run more efficiently, and in turn, serve more of our clients in the future!

This is a goal we have been working towards for some time now, and we are so excited to finally be working it into our 2026 schedule!

As with all construction projects we've estimated on the high end with hopes we will finish sooner.
